MOTBRadio Reflection

Music on the Bamboo Radio is about a boy called Nicholas trying to escape the Japanese Occupation of Hong Kong. He tries to change his name to a Chinese name, called Ming-Ming.

The main characters are called Nicholas aka Ming-Ming, Ah Mee, Tang, Ah Kwan
Nicholas was a brave child suffering from the Japanese Occupation, He was brave because even if he will die he would still stand up for his friends. Tang had Malaria which is a disease when you get bitten by many mosquitos, but any ways Tang was a brave kid because even when she had Malaria she would still stand up for her friends. Ah Mee was also another brave and caring kid because it was risky to get the quinine which is a medicine for Tang when she had Malaria. Ah Kwan is caring because when Nicholas was going to do something when the Japanese were guarding something Nicholas could of died but Ah Kwan told him not to go.

Here are the three significant events I wrote down are Japanese landing at night, Japanese fly over the city and Japanese searching the house. The Japanese landing at night is significant because it tells you that during the Japanese Occupation the Japanese landed at night. The Japanese flying over the city is significant because it tells you that during the Japanese Occupation the Japanese could of been attacking by air. And the Japanese searching the house is significant because it could tell you that they were searching for survivors and possibly torture or kill them.
