My Sister Jodie is about 2 sisters one is called Jodie. She is tough, cool and always makes friends while the other sister,called Pearl, is shy, quiet and never makes friends. The 2 get along very well though. Their family is quite poor but their mam and dad get a job at a very grand school. So in the summer they move to the school. When the school year starts every thing changes. It's pearl who making all the friends and Jodie is the one who's being made fun of. Pearl realizes she doesn't need her sister so much anymore. But on the Guy's Fawkes Night a tragic event happens and everyone is devastated. Pearl finds out how much she needs her sister to be with her.

My favorite part of the book is when Pearl first meets Harley (a boy the same age as Jodie) behind a bush. I recommend this book to people who like a bit of surprise and tragedy.
